Depositions to be completed before a move is made to schedule hearings for victims.
Following a statement made by First Lady Melania Trump last week, House Oversight Chair James Comer pledged to schedule hearings for trafficked victims of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and their conspirators. In her White House speech, the first lady asserted she never had an association with Epstein and called on Congress to facilitate a public hearing “specifically centered around the survivors” and to give them the option to have their testimony entered into the congressional record.
“My attorneys on the Oversight Committee have been communicating on a constant basis for months with the attorneys representing Epstein victims,” Chairman Comer said in response to the first lady’s comments. “There are some victims who are willing to come in. Most victims aren’t, and I completely understand that. But we have always planned on having a hearing with Epstein victims once the depositions have been completed.”
Several depositions have already been completed, with more to come, including that of Bill Gates, Microsoft co-founder, and former Attorney General Pam Bondi.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For First Lady Melania Trump as she advocates for those affected by Epstein’s actions and affiliations.
- For Chairman Comer as he offers Epstein survivors the opportunity to participate in the public hearing.
